New Year's Eve
We went to the Botanic Gardens in the afternoon. Lovely, cool weather, lovely trees, flowers, fruits. We saw a little tortoise, cute birds, black chicks, black swans, squirrel, cosplay girls. A perfect afternoon with the kids, with so much green space to run around.
We had tea at our happy place's Coffee Bean.
Looking forward to 2014. The year where we can finally have our own place. :)

Hubby had his staff meeting today. So far so good!
My relatives from Penang came today and Hubby treated them to Paradise Dynasty's xiao long bao. Glad they liked it. :)

The last weekend of 2013
Saturday:
I had breakfast with my parents and kids, then got my brave parents to babysit ALL FOUR of them for the afternoon while I went out with Hubby to celebrate our (belated) wedding anniversary. After lunch at Westgate's Poulet, we went shopping for his new work clothes. It was really nice to be able to be able to shop so freely without having to carry a bored baby in my arms or looking out for the safety of the older kids anytime they wandered off. Wish we could have more dates more often.
Sunday:
We went to church. Bishop Robert Solomon preached. I loved his sermon. Funny, intelligent, with touches of philosophy infused throughout the sermon. Am reminded to look up and remember my Creator. Worship the One who made the world, not worship the world. Seek to be like Jesus.

New beginning
Excited to hear what Hubby had to share about his induction at his new work place today. Good that there are a few familiar faces there. Good that the Christian tradition is real. Thank you, God, for the new beginning.
Boxing Day
We went to the Gardens by the Bay with Hubby's best friend and his family. Lovely flowers! Nice air-conditioned garden. Great to catch up with RX and CF too. The last time we went out together was back in 2003. We went to Sydney together. Hubby and I were married for a year then, and wee little A was just a couple of weeks old in my little tummy.

2 children
At Meidi-ya, there was a booth outside the entrance, run by the World Vision folks. Told my dad about what they do. About 20 min later, my dad came back with 2 bookmarks, each printed with the face, name and country of a child. My dad just decided there and then and sponsored two kids! One from China, one from Cambodia. Wow. I'm happy for them!!!
My dad is thrifty, yet so generous to others. I have a good father.

Merry Christmas
Just exactly what do people mean when they say "Merry Christmas" or "Blessed Christmas"?

Oh Christmas Eve...
My little tribe shopped at the Rail Mall's Cold Storage for our dinner ingredients to be cooked by Hubby. He cooked his signature coq au vin at my parents' place. Mom used her air fryer to cook a nice chicken dish. I'm impressed by how the air fryer nicely browned the chicken skin.
It was a simple cosy dinner with my loved ones. Wish my bro was there too.
Come next year, we should be having our own Christmas dinner at our new place.
Can't wait.

15mo
D turns 15 months old today. Just recovered from 3 days of high fever. He's been taking 4-5 steps unassisted so far and doesn't seem keen to venture anything further than that. Oh well.
A started walking at 13.5 months.
E also.
N at a surprising 10 months (is that even legal?!).
D... Faster leh....

Refresh, reload, remember.
This blog shall be my journal. It's probably good to reflect on my daily stuff and jot them down, as it seems that my repeated pregnancy- and then post-baby brain has taken a beating from the past 4 kids I've had since 2004.
Happy eve of Christmas Eve!
